Welcome to Little Ku and She Soho: small but perfectly formed!

Ku Soho aka Little Ku is the small but perfectly formed bar on Frith Street that is home to hot boys, cold drinks and cool pop tunes. Plus underneath the venue is the totally gorgeous She Soho, London’s only full time LGBT+ woman’s bar. We spoke to Ku’s own boy king Nieko and Tina and Darryl from She to find out more.

Nieko from Ku Frith Street

Hi Nieko, if there’s anyone out there who’s never been to Ku Soho, or Little Ku, how would you describe it?

Little Ku is exactly that, a condensed version of our Leicester Square flagship, but trust me it packs a punch. Little Ku is that place to meet all your friends, or meet some gorgeous new ones, for catch ups, gossip, flirting, and watching over Old Compton Street. We’ve recently had a delicious re-furb so everything is as yummy as the drinks we serve.

How does it differ from Leicester Square?

The location is the ultimate point to start or end your night out. We’re based on Frith St (on the corner to Old Compton St) with a first floor that has a beautiful view of Soho’s buzz  and boys. Little Ku is more intimate, more personal, where you can meet the man of your dreams, or dance with the staff to the latest chart-topping music.

What are the opening hours etc?

We’re open from midday every day. During the week we stay open till 11:30pm, midnight on the weekend, AND every last weekend of the month, we extend Friday and Saturday till a delicious 3am… meaning, you literally can start and end your night with us.

What’s the music like?

Our music is a reflection of what the mood, customers, vibe of Soho is at the time. On the weekends we showcase our Ku resident DJs latest podcasts and mixes – so it feels like you’re in our Klub, but actually on the first floor people watching in Soho.

What about drinks deals etc?

I’m excited that This week we’re bringing back; Mojito Madess. Why is it madness? Because we’ll be offering 2-4-£12 Mojito’s – all day, every day. We’re getting some spring weather, and it’s time to bring the drinks to suit.

And the bar boys…?

You know at Ku we love servin’ you from the best of the best teams; our Little Ku boys (Stephen, Allan and Tin) are ready for serve your favourite drinks, ready to catch you up on the latest gossip – and ready to make sure you’re night is always memorable.

What events are coming up at both venues?

We’ve got the biggest May ever coming up! On-top of our usual late licences we have the two May Bank holidays, the Royal Wedding, AND Eurovision. We’ll reveal more closer to the time – but I promise you we’re taking all events up a scale, sexier, cuter, hotter… and showing there’s no ‘little’ in a Little Ku night out!

Darryl from She

‘In 2018 at She we celebrate our fifth year of being the only dedicated women’s space in London. We are extremely proud of our newly renovated venue, and provide a variety of events for queer women, including a monthly social for those looking to meeting new, like-minded friends, but are anxious about visiting the bar alone. We provide a safe space for women every day, open from 4pm, with competitive drinks offers before 8pm. We also pride ourselves on our customer service; our bartenders go above and beyond to ensure visitors have an amazing experience.”

Tina from She

“She boasts a variety of female entertainers; from DJs to comedy shows and queerlesque/drag kings. This week alone on the calendar is our weekly Ruby Tuesdays pre-party, karaoke, Bad Girls Club (a trio of female DJs celebrate women in music, dedicating an hour to a different female artist each week), and also we have some of the best female DJs on the scene mixing from 8pm every weekend (last weekend of the month we’re open until 3am).  Our full list of events is available on our website ( – we’re open daily so there’s always something exciting happening.”
