Seven Days: XXL White Party, PHAT at Ku Klub, Circa: The Club, The White Swan, The Old Ship and more

XXL White Party this Saturday

The White Party theme is a classic club concept, and there’s something rather fabulous about seeing everyone in a club decked out under the UV lights in white shorts, vests or whatever. This Saturday (30 Jun) it’s the turn of the bears, blokes and hunks at Pulse to dress up at the XXL White Party where those gorgeous Hoxton Whores will be joining the resident DJs to rock the dancefloors and our world.

Ku Klub welcomes PHAT

This Thursday (28 Jun) the boys at Ku Leicester Square are throwing open their funky Klub to the team from PHAT club for their 1st birthday. This will be a special night with DJs including M-A-D and Miguel Dare plus a whole host of hosts and performers. Get there by 11pm for free entry.

We LOVE Circa The Club

Some people will tell you the LGBT+ scene is in decline – well, those Moaning Myrtles have obviously not been to the gorgeous new Circa: The Club, which opened its shimmering doors two weekends ago and has been packed every Friday and Saturday since. It’s a jaw-dropping, ever-so-funky space with amazing music. Treat yourself, you know you want to.

Myra at the White Swan

This Saturday (30 Jun) the unsinkable and frankly unquenchable Myra DuBois will be carving out her hour on the stage at the White Swan in Limehouse. Although the Rotherham songbird has guested at the much-loved venue before, this is her first full show there, so don’t miss out.

Danny Beard at the Old Ship

John and his crew at the Old Ship have something special for you this Saturday (30 Jun) when they welcome former Drag Idol winner and BGT star Danny Beard to the Limehouse venue on stage at 9.30pm. And as if that wasn’t enough, on Sunday the lovely soul duo Heart & Soul are back.

Laughs galore at the George and Dragon

There’s always fun to be had with The Duchess and her gang at the George and Dragon in Greenwich, and this weekend will be a hoot and a half. On Friday (29 Jun) it’s Miss Jason and on Saturday Britain’s Got Talent finalist Eva Iglesias is back for more big songs. And on Sunday you get three amazing acts with Dave Lynn, Mary Mac and Miss Jason.

Peter Pansexual at Her Upstairs

If you’ve been gagging to shout “He’s behind you!” since New Year then the gang at Her Upstairs have the answer. Taking flight this Friday (29 Jun) is Peter Pansexual, described as ‘a VERY crude summer panto’ brought to us by writer and director Gareth Joyner and starring Myra DuBois as Captain Shook, Sooz Kemper as Peter, Jim Lavender as Smee, Cheryl Hole as Skankerbell, Ophelia Love as Michael and more. Forget everything you thought you knew about Neverland with this childishly unabashed two-fingered tale of the boy that wouldn’t grow up. It’s on until Friday 6 July and tickets are on sale at

The Penetration Play at Above The Stag

Above The Stag, the UK’s only full time LGBT+ theatre, is happily ensconced in its swish new home on the Albert Embankment that comes with a second performance space as well as the main theatre. The Penetration Play is the first production in the new area and the first lesbian play ATS have staged in its 10 year history. It is a dark comedy by Winter Miller that has been described by The New York Times as a ‘cracklingly funny – an erotically charged comedy about the flexibility of sexual identity.’ It’s on until 21 July and you can book tickets at

Subline Brighton’s Golden Handbag Afterparty

Award-winning cruise bar Subline (that could be total awks if they don’t actually win…) hosts its Golden Handbag Afterparty in Brighton this Sunday (1 Jul) from 11pm. Expect a night of celebration (or commiseration) with free entry and four hours of non-stop music.

Let it all hang out at Hamilton Hall
