Brighton Pride is less than two weeks away, with the main day being Saturday 5 August including the parade, Preston Park, the Pleasure Gardens, after-parties and more. But the fun really starts this Sunday (30 Jul) at the Pride Community Day which is also in Preston Park. Here’s a look at this brilliant fun day out, aimed at all the family.
Over the past couple of years the Pride Community Day, that happens just before Brighton Pride has become a hugely popular event in its own right. This year it is happening this Sunday (30 Jul) and is at Preston Park, which will be the site of the Pride Festival the following Saturday (5 Aug).
The Pride Dog Show is not a puppy fetish party in a late night club, it’s actually a hugely popular part of the Community Day hosted by cabaret legend Miss Jason. Hundreds of LGBT+ dog owners and dog lovers will be there with their canine chums all spruced up and looking dapper. The Pride Dog show will feature awards for numerous categories, retail stalls, a glamorous catwalk doggy fashion show, bar and refreshments. Loads of people have already registered their pooches online, but if you want to enter your pup then be at Preston Park by 11.30am on Sunday to register in person.
The Community Day also feature loads of other activities including zumba fitness, hula hooping and lots more sports fun and games for people of all ages. It really is a fun day out with something for everyone.
